WHY WE DO THIS

Our Story.

Life is full of twists, turns, unexpected events, and things that simply do not go as we expect. I cannot think of a single person I know who hasn't had an unplanned event occur.

I believe everyone is built with purpose and intent. It's through life's journey that we discover who we're meant to be.

Almost 20 years ago, my purpose found me through a phone call from my grandmother, Mema. She was frightened because the medical benefits promised to her and my grandfather were being discontinued, right as Granddaddy was recovering from quadruple bypass surgery. It wasn't just the two of them either. An entire organization was being "cleansed" of what had been promised to them. Their fear was real, and their options were limited.

I helped however I could: understanding what was happening, what their options were, how their doctors would be affected, and how to afford the change. That was the moment I realized my educator's heart wasn't meant for classrooms. It was meant to help people find security for tomorrow. On faith, courage, and the help of God, I followed it.

That was nearly 20 years ago, and while the companies and titles have changed, my purpose never has.

I've always been driven by one mission: helping people and the organizations that serve them. Giving people a voice, providing clarity, and making a meaningful difference has remained at the heart of everything I do.

The company I originally founded is now led by others, but after a season of reflection, I knew my story wasn't finished. That calling led me to Aevitas, a name that represents something generational and enduring. It's our way of honoring my grandparents' legacy while continuing our commitment to protect, educate, and serve others for generations to come.

Our goal isn't just to answer your questions. It's to give you the tools to understand your needs and plan for them, and it's an honor to support you through that journey.
